Rational Transportation

Sound Transit is a year away from starting major construction on the East Link rail system, a large portion of which will reduce I-90 cross lake capacity by as much as 30%. The proposed train involves implementing unprecedented engineering designs, spending billions where the existing road surface can be served by improved bus service with little or no change required.
